Divorce is not forbidden. Paul recommended eary church members to marry within their members. even if a husband is Christian and a wife is not, simply he didn't recommend a husband to divorce his wife. But if she is opposeed to his attending Church, he recommended him to divorce her and remarry a Christian woman in church. -first Corinthians 7: 10 -15.
If adultery really becomes a reason to divorce, marriage means nothing. We ought to keep marital relations in the face of adultery. I think that's the meaning of marriage.
If there are two standpoints to back someone's idea on divorce whether it is forbidden in any circumstances, or permissable in case of adultery, after all Bible was just made use of it.
